Can you tell me more about your company?

The Green Maid® is a professional cleaning service which uses non-toxic, environmentally safe products and practices to clean your home or business .

We provide professional green cleaning services for Chicagoland homes and businesses, using non-toxic, bio-degradable & earth-friendly cleaning products

Where are you located? What areas to you cover?

The Green Maid® is headquartered in Evanston, IL, just north of Chicago. We service the entire Chicagoland area from the Loop all the way to the North, Northwest and selected Western Suburbs. Our service area is steadily expanding, so please contact our office directly to inquire about your location.

Are you licensed/bonded?

Yes! The Green Maid is appropriately bonded and insured to operate in the State of Illinois. All of our cleaning staff are thoroughly background-checked and professionally classroom and field-trained before they are assigned to a customer route.

Do you accept debit or credit cards?

Yes. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.

Do you work Saturdays?

What hours do you provide services? Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Saturday 9am-3pm (or as needed) *special appointments and pricing may be arranged*

What kind of products do you use?

We use only the best Green Seal-certified cleaning products from a variety of manufacturers. We also use mops and cleaning anti-microbial cloths made of microfibers that guarantee more effective dusting and cleaning than regular cotton rags or paper products. The Green Maid® never uses harsh or toxic chemicals. Our goal is to help area families and businesses significantly improve their indoor air quality, while maintaining eco-consciousness.

How does it work?

Contact our office for an initial consultation and estimate. During this consultation our customer service representative will inquire about the following: Determine the size of your home
  • Ascertain the number of rooms to be cleaned
  • Consult with you to get an idea of what the priorities areas are for cleaning
  • Estimate how long it will take to provide this service

    • We review these estimates with you and once agreed, we can set your home up with a cleaning schedule of your preference immediately.    We have customers on weekly, bi-weekly and even monthly schedules.

     

    Who is Green Seal?

    Green Seal is a nationally recognized, independent, non-profit organization that identifies and promotes  products and services that meet ever-evolving environmental standards. 

     

    What if I will not be home at the time of appointment?

    The Green Maid is bonded and insured.  If you would prefer services be performed while you are away, we have standard procedures for secure key storage and work with you to get special instructions for access to your home or business .  Once we get the key/keys from you then we will keep them in a safe in our offices and at the time of cleaning the lead person will get it and keep it until he or she returns to our facilities.  

     

    Are your products safe?

    Yes.  Our products are Green Seal-certified and in many cases are jointly recognized by the EPA for their environmental safety. 

     

    Can this service really make a difference?

    Absolutely!  It takes many small decisions to add up to massive changes.  This can be just the beginning for your family or business to take a stand and make a very necessary change.

     

    Will the maids be using stepping stools or step ladders?

    Our personnel will be instructed not to use stepping stools or any type of ladder and will be equipped with telescopic style brooms and portable vacuums capable of reaching high surfaces to minimize falling accidents and/or damage floors.

     

    Is your work guaranteed? 

    Yes it is.  Part of our process is to have you check the work before our cleaning teams leave your home.  The Team Lead  is will confirm that you are satisfied with the work performed  and make adjustments if necessary, provided that the adjustment is not outside the scope of the original instructions.  If you happen not to be home when our service team leaves, you may visit our website to provide feedback about that week’s visitation.  Using The Green Maid® website, you can provide general feedback concerning the work performed on a specific date.

    If for any reason you are unsatisfied,  we can make arrangements to return to the work site within 24 hours to clean a room or area room according to your specifications free of charge.

    Is the personnel trained?

    Absolutely!  Our company policy is to train all our employees in customer relations, cleaning practices, product handling and safety practices before we send them out to client homes and businesses. 

    There is always an assigned Team Leader who is the main point of contact on site.  This person will direct the other team members and will be available for direct questions from you, our customer. 

    A quality control representative continually makes rounds to client sites to perform random spot checks while client sites are being cleaned to inspect personell and procedures and insure the best level of service at all times.

     

    Will the same people clean my home?

    If that is your preference then this will be arranged for your account.   Please note, there may be an occasional rotation of an individual team member  due to unforeseen circumstances.
